Pushkin Avenue 22. Dnipro, Ukraine

For many years, there stood a wall of unknown authorship along Pushkin Avenue 22 in the city of Dnipro. Locals say it was erected over fifty years ago for the city's anniversary.

I fell in love with this wall and gathered a group of volunteers to reclaim it from the homeless individuals who had turned the area beneath it into a makeshift restroom.

We had to get our hands dirty a bit ;) Local residents lent a hand, but there were also many dissenters.

In this video, we tried to capture the entire process, although not all participants made it into the footage. I thank everyone who participated and supported!

Later on, the project unexpectedly grew and attracted numerous people, receiving ideological, informational, volunteer, and even financial support. Some volunteers can be found in this video :) It was a genuine community project!

Even the city administration got involved, laying fresh asphalt beneath our wall!

Then came a lot of press coverage and other pleasant surprises. And my dream came true as I created a black and white portrait against this beautiful wall!
