Art Mural for the Mediation Room at School 101, Kyiv, Ukraine
It's wonderful news that mediation rooms are being introduced in Kyiv schools.
Mediation is the art of facilitating dialogues that lead to cooperation between conflicting parties. Mediation classrooms should have plenty of space, and the decor should both inspire reflection and not be distracting.
Kyiv artists took on the task of decorating the walls in one of these rooms.
A charitable project, authored by Liza Basay and Tetiana Zhuravel, was implemented in School No. 101 in Kyiv.
At the heart of the project lies abstraction, illustrating the transformation of conflict energy from negative to positive.
Addressing the aesthetic aspect, the composition evokes certain associations linked to color and form changes but doesn't offer obvious answers. Such a decision seamlessly fits into the mediation room's concept.
"For the decor of the mediation room walls at School 101, we chose the theme of transforming conflict energy into good, transitioning from sharp to smooth abstract forms. We currently have enough conflict energy, and if children learn to transform it for the country's benefit, I can't even imagine how much we will progress!... We express our gratitude for the opportunity and trust given to the head of the Shevchenko District Administration, Oleg Oleksandrovych Garyaz, the head of the education department, Yarova Yevheniia Valentynivna, the head of the educational work sector, Buhtiariova Nataliia Volodymyrivna, and the director of School 101, Iryna Leonidivna," – commented one of the authors, Liza Basay.

Mural for the Financial Literacy Classroom at School 41. Kyiv, Ukraine
The financial literacy classroom at Kyiv School No. 41 has been adorned with an original mural. Students from the school also participated in the decoration. The authors of the charitable project are artists Liza Basay and Tetiana Zhuravel.
The initial stage of mural development involved researching the topic of financial literacy among the school's students. According to the survey, the main associations with financial literacy classes are success, competence, confidence, relevance, development, and education.
The final part of the mural features inscriptions—students' own educational goals, which teenagers drew by hand. Along with the main message "If you want it, you can!", they form a series of sincere desires: if you want it, be free; if you want it, be determined; if you want it, be educated; if you want it, be independent...
For illustration, the artists chose an allegory representing these ideas—a girl mastering the hryvnia as a surfboard, confidently riding the wave of new technologies and financial terms. The entire illustration is executed in the technique of 3D simulation, with the wave composed of gadgets, symbols of world and digital currencies.
We express our gratitude for the opportunity and trust given to the head of the Shevchenko District Administration Oleg Oleksandrovych Garyaz, the head of the education department, Yarova Yevheniia Valentynivna, the head of the educational work sector, Buhtiariova Nataliia Volodymyrivna, and the director of School 41, Nadia Fencheko.
