Fine Art vs. Real Life

Why Do We Buy Painted Flowers Instead of Taking Photographs for Free?

Why do we choose to buy painted flowers instead of simply taking photographs for free? The answer lies in the joy of a different view and the aesthetic enjoyment.

Imagine a Photoshop installed in an artist's head. She wants you to see only the flower, so why include other objects in the painting? Wipe them off! She wants you to see the volume, so there's no need for small details? Wipe them off! She wants you to see the depth of color, so she enhances it. This is how clarity and focus come into play, and in this clarity, you can now see the flower as the artist sees it—a different kind of beauty, a different kind of joy.

The aesthetics add various interpretations and perspectives to the paintings. Surreal, minimalist, heavy on details, bright or calm—whatever you love, you can have for your pleasure. This means more diversity but in a way you find more enjoyable.

We haven't even begun to discuss the meaning yet! I want to focus on the appearance first. Color balance, tonal sharpness, and compositional rhythms—if you can see them, you can be filled with all kinds of beauty to love life even more.
